Hospital Church
The hospital Church of the Holy Spirit was first documented in 1262. A public charity, it gave shelter to the poor and accommodated passing pilgrims. In later years it became a home for the elderly. In 1764, the Gothic chapel was replaced with a Lutheran church with a beautiful Rococo interior and a pulpit-altar designed to integrate pulpit and altar into one architectural element, giving equal emphasis to promulgation of the Word and the sacrament.
